Jake Ward’s rise to the top has only just begun. Called the “#1 Best Kept Secret” on the Texas music scene, Jake and the band have a reputation for their high-energy sound, mixed with classic country and rich harmony.

The great-grandson to a legendary fiddle player in rural Oklahoma during the depression, Jake’s love for music began at the young age of 7 years old, performing at church and several musicals in his hometown. But it wasn’t until 2014 that Jake made his public debut, where he sang his first single “Hit the Road.” After he and the band cut the song for demo, it ended up on local radio stations, and then eventually hit the top 30 on Texas radio.

In 2015, Jake and his band released the album Love Don’t Live Here. Two hit songs emerged from this debut record, Ignorant Bliss reached #16 and Take My Hand climbed all the way to #1 on the Texas Top 100 chart. After releasing the singles Lonely Street and Restless, Jake is now a veteran at #1 status. Playing shows throughout Texas with names like Aaron Watson, Cody Johnson, Whiskey Myers and Chris Young, Jake and his band are sure to see more and more of the red roots dust on their boots.

Jake Ward’s up and coming group has a new EP out for the taking. Not To Far To Reach was released on October 13th with 3 additional tracks: Where the Wind Blows, Freight Train, and I’m Leaving. Recorded in Jake’s hometown, Corpus Christi at Sound Machine Studio, the independent album was produced by Mason Shirley.

September was a busy month for Jake Ward and his band. In light of those effected by Hurricane Harvey, they met up with Wade Bowen at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi for a benefit concert to help the people of Houston and surrounding areas. Jake also sang the National Anthem at the Rangers vs. White Sox’s game in Arlington with his fellow band members Paul and Owen.
