Hey there , this is JJ with Red Dirt Roots Radio and I have for you the Morning Cup Re-Cap.
Please sit tight while I roll in the almighty artist spotlight on none other than a band called Smoke Wagon.
This morning I found my feet just a tapping, I my heart thumping, adrenaline pumping when Smoke Wagon rocked the station with their smokin’ song Betty Fade !
I’ll tell you what, we are always impressed with the progression of artists that press into the honing process of their work, holding their songs to the highest standard ; burning up the dross or otherwise , anything that would stand in the way of shining a 1000 killowatts of their greatest potential.
If you’re a Diamond Rio fan I could guess that you’ll like Smoke Wagon and did you know this band formed on Craisg’s List in Texas? You know, sometimes trying something new when the same old fails is the way to go. Who would have thought these talented vocalists and guitarists would meet in a common place advertising forum such as Craig’s List. You just never know what you’re gonna get like Gump said and I also bet they had no idea they were going to be blessed with a smoking hot fiddle player like Deborah.
She just walked right up after a show and with the confidence of a classical violin background offered these guys an extra player. They took her up on it and speaking of up on it, she’s energetic and nimble and if the coast clear and she’ll stand up on the counter tops! She’ll play it from the rooftops the hedges, the highways and byways for this awesome band.
According to their Biography on smokewagonband.com
“Smoke Wagon is now a band dedicated to delivering edgy, but polished Texas/Red Dirt Country. Smoke Wagon produces an energetic sound all their own with incredible vocals, captivating lyrics and hard hitting guitar riffs, all accompanied by a red hot fiddle.
Smoke Wagon’s music is produced by Michael Morales and Mixed by Ron Morales, both multi-Grammy Award winners at Studio M in San Antonio Texas.”
So, they are not done folks!
I hope they tour the West Coast because I’ll be first in line to purchase smoke wagon Tickets.
