Things are out of your control.

It happens.

It’s just the way it is.

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Make the best of the situation.

I think we have all heard someone older and wiser say these things to us when we fret and worry about.

This too shall pass.

You still have to keep the vehicle between the lines and get from point A to point B.

And when you can’t see the lines, it’s a whole new adventure, so hang on and don’t panic!

I had a friend recently tell me, he had time for nothing! So busy! Can’t keep up! So he complained to God and asked “Lord, what am I supposed to do? I don’t have time!”

By Chance or coincidence? By fate?

(you be the judge)

He shoots himself in the thumb, splitting the bone -down the center with a nail gun!

Suffice to say, things slowed down for this contractor. How would he make it through the month now??? How would he support the family? What about all the jobs he had lined up for the month?

Everything got  placed on hold. Not the family of course-

Instead,  a surprise popped out of the Cosmos—  A  gentleman he worked for, writes him a check…

For several grand!  An advance! Pass Go and collect MORE than $200!!!!

“For all the work you have completed so far, we’ll just cut you a chunk now, instead of waiting until  the projects’ completion.  Besides, you’ve done a marvelous job!!!! ”

So, that whole situation happened; true story.

Was spoken of; and so it goes;

I was  impressed enough to write to you this morning and say…

one day at a time. I haven’t had time to write you much lately; that is- until my lines crashed.

A wiring failure or break somewhere cancelled my live shows this week and the soonest a technician could get out to repair, was toward the end of the week.

So what happens until then?

All goes to heck in a hand basket?

This is the Little Station that COULD.

So I’ll be thinking of you daily ; filling out  plenty of back logs and catching up on desk work and if you’re a follower of the show, you know I’ll be back.

“Talking about a bunch of shift work
A big ol’ pile of shift work
Work seven to three
Three to eleven
Eleven to seven”

(Troy Jones)

You might know that one Kenny sings…but either way, my problems are “gnat” funny but small enough to squish with an average sized thumb.

So with  my Texas friends in mind & all they are up against in the Harvey situation;

Prayers and support are coming from Red Dirt Roots Radio; a chance to pray for you all today,  in my “slowing down”.

In our haste and hurry, in our fret and worry; may we STOP!

Let’s look at the bigger picture…

God Bless,

and sincerely,

Your friend,
